Module One – The Legalities of Church Security

            This Module continues with the topic of Legal Use of Force.

            What Can You and Can’t You Do in a Critical Incident.

            It Starts from the Beginning.

In the heat of the moment when chaos is happening around you and tunnel vision is setting in, you need to know what to expect before, during, and after a self-defense incident.

·       The aftermath of a self-defense situation

·       What's considered Reasonable Force in your state.

·       How to quickly take action and save lives.

 

Module Two – How to Identify a Threat, Profiling

            This Module discusses what a threat looks like. How to identify a threat.

            Developing Observational Skills.

            Trusting Your “Gut”.

            If it Doesn’t Look Right, it Probably isn’t.

 

Module Three – Defensive Pistol and Low Light Tactics and Personal Protection

This Module discusses and applies how to use a firearm defensively. For this Module we will be using airsoft pistols. These are not toys. These are Certified Training pistols at times used by Law Enforcement and Military.

Learn how to protect your pastor, guest speaker, as well as your congregation in a time of need.

Safety glasses are required.

Absolutely NO Firearms are allowed in the building for Safety Reasons.

About the Instructor: David Apel has dedicated for almost 20 years the study of personal defense. He has trained in martial arts for 17 years. Is a 3rd Degree Blackbelt. Has been a martial arts instructor for 14 years. Has trained in defensive firearms for 15 years and has been a USCCA Certified Instructor for 5 years.

Cost for this event: $75 for individuals. $50 for Pastors. FREE for anyone that commits to working security at Youth and/or Kids Camp this year and approval by Pastor Ryan Christopher and Pastor Paul McDonald.
