Paul R. McDonald - District Superintendent

Dr. Paul R. McDonald is the seventh Superintendent for the Northern Missouri District of the Assemblies of God. Prior to his current position, Paul served eleven and a half years in dual roles as the District Treasurer and Business Administrator.

Paul earned his Doctor of Ministry degree (D.Min.) from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. He completed his Masters of Divinity (M.Div.) at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and his Bachelor of Arts from Central Bible College in Springfield, MO. Paul was ordained with the Northern Missouri District Council in 1989.

Pastor Paul and Cindy McDonald have served in full-time church ministry for 30 years, beginning in 1986 as Youth Pastor and then as Associate Pastor under Dr. M. Ray Brewer at Tiffany Fellowship in Kansas City, MO. From 1994 to 2000, Paul was the Lead Pastor at Christian Life Center, Decorah, in Northeast Iowa. It was a small congregation who had lost their church building, and he brought them hope and stability as they grew again by God’s grace. He also simultaneously served as interim pastor for a neighboring assembly for over two years in Cresco, IA.

In 2000, Paul took his wife and two children up the “Al-Can Highway” 4500 miles to pastor the largest Assembly of God church in Fairbanks, Alaska. While there, he again spent time serving simultaneously as interim pastor of another small congregation while leading his own church. After twelve years of fruitful labor, Paul resigned to come “home” to Northern Missouri and serve in the District Office. During his time as Treasurer & Business Administrator, Paul served as interim pastor for six churches all across the Northern Missouri District.

Paul and Cindy have a daughter, Melia (Isaiah), and a son, Brenden (Taylor).  All four met and became credentialed ministers while at Central Bible College in Springfield, MO. Presently, Melia and Isaiah Jesch are ministering in Northern Missouri, where Isaiah is the Lead Pastor of Nelsonville Assembly. They previously served on the staff of Evangel Temple in Springfield MO for over seven years. Brenden is the Assistant Pastor at Faith Church in Peru, IL. Taylor also serves the church with youth ministry, young adults, small groups, and the worship team.

Paul and Cindy have five grandchildren, Tobiah Jesch, Julia Jesch, Noah Paul Jesch, and the twins Camden Paul and Callum Robert and they have one foster daughter, Kourtney. All of these kids are a delight and treasure to their Nana and Papa. Paul greatly enjoys a good cup of coffee, reading, hunting, fishing, golfing, and, of course, playing with his wonderful grandchildren!

Tracy D. Cook - Assistant Superintendent, Missions Director

Tracy Cook has served as Assistant District Superintendent since 2018. He earned a B.A. in pastoral ministries from Central Bible College in Springfield, MO in 1987. He was Youth Pastor for four years at First Assembly of God in New Castle, Indiana, and seven years at Tiffany Fellowship AG in Kansas City, Missouri. He served as Associate Pastor for four years at Christian Chapel AG in Columbia, Missouri. For over twenty years Tracy pastored his home church, Columbia First Assembly. He has served in sectional and district leadership in Indiana and Northern Missouri since 1987.

Tracy and his wife Joy have two grown daughters, Hannah & Abbie. Tracy enjoys documenting his family history and building his collection of ‘70s-‘80s Contemporary Christian Music LP albums.
